Casa Ramos in Heber

I normally don't enjoy good Mexican food outside of New Mexico (we are chili snobs here) but I have to say I really enjoyed this place. The staff was extremely friendly and the portions were large. I highly recommend this place if your paying through.

Great Tex-Mex food in Overgaard is its plenty of parking and the restaurant is next to the telephone booths from the movie Fire in the Sky, that’s kewl. We were promptly seated and our waiter took our drink orders. Chips were crisp and that salsa was on point, we had 4 bowls lol. My friend and the wife shared some type of queso; beef, beans cheese garnish with shredded melted cheese, sliced tomatoes and avocado slices. It was really good. My friend had the Carna Asada rice beans, the steak could’ve been more flavorful and tender. I had the pick 3 combo; 2 crispy tacos in a homemade shell, cheese enchilada with a tasteful red sauce, rice and charro beans. Great choice. Wife had carnitas; tender and juicy pulled porked, outstanding. We would recommend this place.

Always love Casa Ramos. Take out order prepared fast and hot. Used to have a cabin in Overgaard and visited Casa Ramos regularly. Now I always stop while passing through. With COVID-19 they have adapted well with socially distanced seating and mask wearing by all employees. Good for you Kenny to take there lead in Heber. Food is still great. Thank you.

They serve authentic Mexican food, the menu is excellent and the plate portion are big. The prices are reasonable.

Visited Casa Ramos about a week ago. The portions were large and the plates were hot! Delicious food, pictured here is bacon wrapped shrimp and the barbacoa plate. Both came with rice, beans, and a tortilla. I splurged and ordered the house margarita while we were there as well and it was HUGE! Our service was great, chips and salsa were awesome. Way to go, Casa Ramos.

Great spot to stop if you're driving by

Date 7/4/2020 - Went inside, waited for five minutes for the host to show, only to be told not open for dine in ... turned 6 people away... one woman asked to use the restroom and he told her it was only for customers, but she said she can’t get it to go because she is driving cross country... very disappointing. We usually love this place.

I didn't want to rate this 5/5 but if my family ever found out that I rated lower they would give me grief. The entrees are mostly in the $14-20 price range which high imho, considering you the drinks are still served in plastic cups. Ok it probably costs them more for meat and vegetables because they are in the mountains. I think the real reason for the higher prices is that 1, it's the only Mexican food for many miles and 2) it really is that delicious.I sampled the shrimp burrito, the sea bass tacos and I had the combo, see attached pics. Everything was great!

Consistently delicious, authentic Mexican food, generous portions, and the "Signature" margarita is unrivaled! One of my faves for "lighter" Mex food is the Chicken Tostada Salad; a marinated, grilled, sliced, chicken breast over salad, beans (I switch out refried for whole), guac, sour cream. Delicious! But if you don't care about "light", my next fave is Chile Rellenos, enchiladas... never mind it is all delicious.

First time here... service was great, friendly staff, clean an food was amazing!! Ambiance was cozy... loved the decor an feel of the restaurant!

Best seafood burrito that I ate in my life.

Chips and salsa is good. Ordered fajitas and they were great. Service is a LITTLE slower but you have to expect that in a small town. There's even a sign when you first walk in that says "it will be a miracle if you get your food within 5 minutes." If you want fast food go to the DQ or Subway up the road. If you want food cooked to order and don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time for it, I would absolutely recommend Casa Ramos!

Great Mexican food place in Heber. Had pomegranate margaritas, they did not skimp on the alcohol, great! Had the dinner for 2 and we had leftovers. The dinner was fantastic . Service was good and fast. We were there early, so there was no wait, but by the time we left it was getting crowded. I'll be back next time I need a Mexican food fix in Heber area.

Stood for over 10 min waiting to get seated in an empty restaurant pre lunch. Once we sat the service was very poor. Waitstaff did not seem to know anything nor care about customer service. All we wanted was 2 bean and cheese burritos...end result is we walked out when they said they don't serve it a la cart and wanted to charge us $8 a burrito. Um, no thanks. I'll make my own bean and cheese burritos at home.

The food, drinks and atmosphere were all excellent! I knew I was in the right place to enjoy a great meal from the wonderful aroma that me at the door.

EXCELLENT food, service & atmosphere. We are in town for Mogollon wrestling tournament and walked over to the restaurant from our hotel, the Buckskin Lodge. My husband had the 3 item combo (taco, tostada, chz ench) plate. I had the 2 item combo (shredded beef taco/chz ench). Our daughter had the chicken fingers & fries.

Service was a little slow, but THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Best Mexican food I've had in a while, so definitely worth the wait!

The food here is home cooked, fresh and delicious!!! We had apple pie made fresh from the apple tree right outside the restaurant. They have scrumptious daily specials like fish tacos with fresh homemade salsa. The interior is very clean and cute.

Great food. Absolutely zero consideration for covid. They allowed their lobby to be mask free. They allowed one server to serve multiple tables simultaneously without a mask. If you eat here, do so at your own risk.

Food is good, unfortunately service is not. Which is a shame, we stopped going in to eat at the restaurant because it just was an uncomfortable feeling to have people seem so unhappy to serve you.So then I said well since the food is good we will just call in and place a "to go" order. Well the phone is never answered, anytime we call we can't reach anyone. I tried to reach out to the restaurant and let them know that and instead of an "I'm sorry that happened" I get told "the phones work"...if that was the case why would I mention it? This place needs serious help with it's customer service skills.

Good service, two types of homemade salsas. Chips were good but a little on the thick side. The green chili pork was of the norm tasting. Nice looking and decorative place inside.

I went here with my mom and sister. when we first walked in we got the feeling that it was kind of dirty and much under staffed. There was about a 30 minute wait to be seated, but that's not the issue. When we sat down we spoke with three people before placing our drink order (this is because the first two did not speak hardly any English at all. I have no issue with that part of the fact.) But we did have a similar issue when ordering our food. Once the food was ordered it took nearly 45 minutes to get out to us and the margarita that my mom ordered had still not gotten to the table. I got the pork carnitas and for the price there was hardly any meat on my plate. (It was good and so was the rest of our food hence 3 stars and not 2).

The food was great and the service was friendly. They did the best they could to accommodate social distancing. I'll be glad when that's over.

Good food, horrible service. Never once did the server come to our table to see if we needed anything else and we did, so their $ loss. Only showed up to deliver the check which took almost 10 minutes & it wasn't even our server. It's not like it was a full restaurant on a Sunday evening during covid

Their bar has a curated collection of connoisseur-level bourbons, tequilas, and other liquors prominently featuring Blanton's bourbon and other Buffalo Trace products impossible to find down in the Valley, at half the price.The food is a solid 4-1/2 stars out of five. I'm a vegan so just had veggie fajitas with rice and beans. Excellent seasoning and preparation.Definitely a hidden gem.

Margaritas... On point! 👌🏼 Service is amazing! Kenny is great! He and his wife have done wonderful things... Painting and decor updates, menu items are consistent, delicious and come out hot! What more do you need?

Went here twice during incredibly hard backpacking trips! Service was great on their busy Saturday night and less than phenomenal on a slow Sunday afternoon. What gives?!

This is probably the best Mexican food I've had in a long time and Mexican is my favorite food! They have huge servings and at an very reasonable price. Neat and clean people and establishment. But the food is to die for! I live the pork hard tacos and pork enchiladas. It is amazing good!!! The green chili Burris, green chicken enchiladas, their tamales...it's all beyond delicious!! Great chips and salsa too! Hey, don't you need a trip up to Heber right about now! Just do it! 😍
